Weichi Chen, AIA, LEEDap

Weichi Chen is a partner of Woodridge Chen Architects. Prior to founding the firm, Weichi worked with the Hillier Group/RMJM for 19 years as an associate principal. He has designed a wide range of building types from office buildings, mix-used commercial buildings, educational facilities, performing arts centres, music schools, business schools to libraries throughout United States and overseas. As a design principal, he is involved in all aspects of the practice, including conceptual design, detail development, project team management, consultant coordination, and client communication. Weichi has completed a number of outstanding projects with his previous association with the Hillier Group, including the Kasser Theatre and Cali School of Music at Montclair State University, the New Jersey Institute of Technology School of Architecture and the Shilla Suzhou Hotel in China.

Weichi received a Master of Architecture from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Architecture from Tunghai University. Over the course of his career, he had taught in Tunghai University as a visiting professor and published his book, Reflection on the Poetics of Architecture, in 1998. He is a member of American Institute of Architects and an accredited professional of LEED.
